This is a Proto 1000 shell with heavy modifications to the grills including solid sections in the upper grills and replacement of the porthole section with a non-chicken-wire section from an old Athearn F7A shell. Details include a 48″ dynamic fan, scratchbuilt spark arrestors, antenna, grabs, modified skirting, and roof piping. Heavily weathered for coal field duty in the late ’60s.
