Well, it looks like an F3A from the outside, but the 550 number series is the giveaway that on the inside it’s an F9A. Components from wrecked F9A second 554 were installed in carbody from retired Monon F3A 210. Note that the windshield cleaning access ladder is on the fireman’s side of the nose per Monon practice rather than the engineer’s side per L&N practice. Outshopped April 1966.
