A loaded NS unit train exercises trackage rights on CSX and rolls south approaching Dungannon, Virginia. The coaling tower and flat area to the left is all that remains of Miller Yard, once a busy interchange site between the Interstate RR and the Clinchfield. A hotel and four section houses were located trackside to the right, 21 Oct 1991
Hey Dan, just for historical accuracy’s sake, that’s not 1991. Late 90s at the earliest and more likely 2000s. I know most of the yard was still in in early 1991, forget exactly when, but wasn’t ripped out for a couple years after that.
