I believe the building shown here behind the depot was my grandparents’ store. It was a general store and had a door that slid sideways when the train dropped of stuff. They lived above the store. Does anyone remember Andy B Maiden and his wife Rose? Andy died in the late 50s. They had 2 girls (Jo and Jack) and my dad, James B.

My family moved to Michigan in 1951 . My wife and I live west of Lexington Ky now and are retired .

Annette Geil, My father owned a store across the tracks from the depot, (not showned}, Where you see the cars ls a house on the hill side above them, that is where we lived. I would go to Andy’s coal pile and get two buckets of coal for his store. the stove was in the store. He sold comic books and would give me a dime or a comic book for the chores I did for him. I knew Jo Jim And Jackie, they were older than I was, My parents are Clarence and Violet Mulllis. We were very close friends with the Maidens.
